New Voter ID Requirements

TO VOTE IN PERSON, you must provide ONE of the following:

  1. Ohio Driver’s License

  2. Ohio State ID card or interim Ohio ID issued by the BMV

  3. US Passport or Passport Card

  4. US Military Card, Ohio National Guard ID Card, or US Department of Veterans Affairs ID Card

A new Ohio Law requires that voters present a Photo ID when voting in person.

TO VOTE BY MAIL, you must provide ONE of the following:

  1. Last 4 digits of social security number

  2. Ohio Driver’s License

  3. Ohio State ID number

  4. Copy of US Passport or Passport Card

  5. Copy of Ohio National Guard ID Card or US Department of Veterans Affairs ID Card

Voters may NOT provide a driver’s license from another state, utility bill, bank statement, government check, payroll check, government document, social security card, or official mail or notice from the Board of Elections.
